# Antidote - Search action for ActionClip

Look up selected text in Antidote's dictionary search box.

## What it does

Opens Antidote Dictionaries with the selected word or expression as the search text. Uses Antidote's macOS Dictionaries service, with support for its English and French names.

## How to look up selected text in Antidote's dictionary search box with ActionClip

1. Select the text you want to use.
2. Choose **Antidote - Search** from ActionClip.
3. The destination opens with your selection ready to use.

## Requirements

Install Antidote and enable Antidote — Dictionaries in System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services > Text.

## Privacy

Passes the selected text locally to Antidote using a private service pasteboard. Your clipboard is unchanged. Antidote controls any later processing.
