# Copy as Markdown action for ActionClip

Copy the selected rich text as Markdown.

## What it does

Captures HTML, RTF, or attributed text from the source app without leaving the clipboard changed during capture, converts common headings, emphasis, links, lists, quotes, code, and images locally, then copies the Markdown result.

## How to copy the selected rich text as Markdown with ActionClip

1. Select the text you want to use.
2. Choose **Copy as Markdown** from ActionClip.
3. Review the result, then copy it where you need it.

## Requirements

The source app must expose its selected rich text through Accessibility or Copy. Plain-text selections are copied unchanged.

## Privacy

ActionClip captures and converts the selected rich text locally, restores the previous clipboard, then copies only the Markdown result. The selection does not leave your Mac.
