# Create QR Code action for ActionClip

Create a QR code from selected text or a URL.

## What it does

Generates a crisp, scannable QR image from the selection and presents it in ActionClip. Copy Image places PNG and TIFF image data on the clipboard for pasting into other apps.

## How to create a QR code from selected text or a URL with ActionClip

1. Select the text you want to use.
2. Choose **Create QR Code** from ActionClip.
3. Review the extracted result, then copy it where you need it.

## Requirements

Select text or a URL up to 2,000 UTF-8 bytes.

## Privacy

ActionClip generates the QR code locally on this Mac. The selected text and QR image do not leave your Mac.
