# DeepL actions for ActionClip

Use selected text with DeepL directly from ActionClip.

> Official ActionClip integration. The actions below are independently selectable. Adding one does not add the others or create an Action Group.

## About DeepL

DeepL connects to ActionClip so you can send selected text without copying and pasting it manually.

## How to use

1. Select the text you want to use.
2. Choose your DeepL action from ActionClip.
3. ActionClip sends the selection to DeepL and opens the app for you.

## Requirements

Install DeepL for Mac and open it once. Enable Translate with DeepL in System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services > Text. Enable Online Actions in ActionClip. No API key is needed.

## Privacy

Passes only selected text to DeepL through a private local service pasteboard. DeepL sends text to its translation service under your DeepL settings and account. Your clipboard is unchanged.

Nothing is sent until the user clicks the action. ActionClip does not run this integration in the background.
