# Scrivener actions for ActionClip

Save a selection as a new clipping, append it to the current document, or add it to the document’s notes.

> Official ActionClip integration. The actions below are independently selectable. Adding one does not add the others or create an Action Group.

## About Scrivener

Scrivener is a writing workspace for planning, drafting, and organizing long-form projects such as books, papers, and scripts.

## How to use

1. Select the text you want to use.
2. Choose your Scrivener action from ActionClip.
3. ActionClip sends the selection to Scrivener and opens the app for you.

## Requirements

Install Scrivener 2 or 3, open a project, and enable the macOS Service for the action you want to use.

## Privacy

ActionClip sends the selection directly to Scrivener on your Mac. Scrivener controls any syncing that happens afterward.

Nothing is sent until the user clicks the action. ActionClip does not run this integration in the background.
