Meet Messages
Messages connects to ActionClip so you can send selected text without copying and pasting it manually.
Included actions
Send to a saved recipient
Use Message Contact in ActionClip 2.2.1 or later. Enter a name and address or choose from Contacts once, then click Message [Name] to send the selection immediately. Change the recipient from the action’s gear settings.

Choose only what you need
This integration includes 2 useful actions. Add only the ones that fit your workflow—nothing is grouped or enabled automatically.

Workflow
How it works
- Select the text you want to use.
- Choose your Messages action from ActionClip.
- ActionClip sends the selection to Messages and opens the app for you.

Before you add it
Requirements and privacy
- Before you start: Messages must be configured on this Mac.
- Your selected text: ActionClip passes the selected text only to this Apple app on your Mac. The Apple app controls any later iCloud sync or network use.
Nothing is sent until you click the action. ActionClip never runs this integration quietly in the background.
