Choose paste options
- Open ActionClip → Settings → Paste widget.
- Choose Configure… beside Paste options.
- Enable the paste actions you want. The demo in the Paste widget section updates to match your choices.
Paste, Paste + Return, Paste + New Line, and Paste Plain remain separate options. Snippet management sits directly below the demo, outside the Configure popup.
Create and manage snippets
- Enable the Snippets checkbox.
- Select the plus button at the top right of the Snippets area.
- Enter the snippet text and an optional title, then choose Save.
Use each snippet's checkbox to show or hide it, the pencil to edit it, or the trash button to delete it. The parent Snippets row has no delete button. Snippets are indented below it.
To save selected text, use Add to Snippets in the action widget. The editor opens with the selected text already filled in and an empty, optional title. Choose Save or Cancel.
Insert a snippet
Place the insertion point in a supported editable field and open the Paste widget. Choose Snippets, then the saved entry. Each entry shows its title and a short text preview, without a repeated icon. A small divider separates Snippets from preceding paste actions. With more than five enabled snippets, the dropdown includes search; use the arrow keys and Return to select a match, or Escape to close it.
Storage and privacy
Snippets stay on this Mac. ActionClip inserts their literal text, including whitespace and line breaks, without evaluating it as an action template. Insertion uses the existing clipboard-preserving paste flow and respects paused apps and websites.
