Prepare a useful, reusable action

Submission requires ActionClip 2.3.0 and a verified, active paid license on this Mac. Create and save your custom action, then test it with harmless sample text. Explain any required apps, macOS permissions, API services, or user setup. Do not embed your own passwords, API keys, access tokens, private URLs, or customer data.

Send it for review

  1. Open Marketplace → Submit Action.
  2. Choose the saved action you want to submit.
  3. Complete Author display name, Review contact email, and Category.
  4. Write a Short summary and a clear What it does description.
  5. Add safe sample Selected text and the Expected result.
  6. List Requirements and, if useful, Notes for the reviewer.
  7. Check the configuration and examples for secrets, then choose Submit for Review. Wait for confirmation.

The app prepares the review package for you. Share Action exports a portable file for direct sharing; exporting alone does not submit anything to Marketplace.

Track the review

Open Marketplace → My Submissions to see your submissions and their status. A rejected submission includes reviewer feedback when available. Address that feedback before submitting an updated action. Submitting is not publishing: actions need review, and acceptance is separate from their availability in the public catalog. There is no promised review turnaround.

Know what leaves your Mac

Submitting sends the action configuration, examples, listing details, author name, and review contact to ActionClip's review service. Review packages are delivered to a private Discord review channel. License credentials are used to verify eligibility; they are not part of the public listing. The submitted configuration may contain executable scripts or network destinations, so inspect the whole action before sharing. Do not use private selected text as your example.

If submission fails

  • Paid license required: confirm the license is active on this Mac.
  • Invalid or oversized package: check required fields and reduce large custom icons.
  • Too many submissions: wait before retrying.
  • Review service unavailable: keep the saved action and retry later. An error is not confirmation of submission; check My Submissions before sending again.
