Overview
What Messages - Message Contact does
Enter the recipient’s name and iMessage email or phone number, or use Choose from Contacts to select a phone number or email. The action displays Message [Name]. Save the recipient once. Each later action click sends immediately through Messages without a composer. Setup sends nothing. Change or forget the recipient in this integration. Messages controls delivery and notifications.

Use Messages - Message Contact
Follow these steps to choose a contact once, then send selected text or links with Message [Name] with ActionClip.
- Select the text you want to use.
- Choose Messages - Message Contact from ActionClip.
- The destination opens with your selection ready to use.
Before you add it
Requirements and privacy
- Before you start: Sign in to iMessage on this Mac and allow ActionClip to control Messages when macOS asks. Select up to 64 KB of text. The recipient is saved only on this Mac.
- Your selected text: ActionClip passes the selected text only to this Apple app on your Mac. The Apple app controls any later iCloud sync or network use.
