What Add to Snippets does

Open a snippet editor with the selected text already filled in. Add an optional title, edit the content, and save.

Set up snippets.

How to use it

  1. Select the text you want to keep.
  2. Choose Add to Snippets in the action widget.
  3. Add an optional title and choose Save, or choose Cancel to discard.

Settings

Open the action's settings from:

ActionClip → Settings → Paste widget

Saved snippets

Manage snippets and their visibility in Settings → Paste widget.

  • Edit
  • Enable or disable
  • Delete

Changes are saved automatically.

You can also replace this action's icon from ActionClip → Actions. See change an action icon.

When ActionClip suggests it

Available for selected text.

Enabled actions remain available in your Actions list even when Smart Suggestions do not promote them for the current selection.

Requirements and privacy

  • A title is optional.
  • Snippets are stored locally and inserted as literal text.
Snippets Snippets inserts locally saved text into an editable field from the Paste widget. Paste Paste inserts the current clipboard content at an editable insertion point.
